Onboarding To Copilot
Getting started with copilot is designed to be easy and self-service.
Copilot integrates directly with your restaurant’s point-of-sale system to ensure real-time, reliable insights. Our current supported self-service integrations include:

Square
Additional platforms will be supported in a self-service connect soon, but reach out to support@hang.com if you’re looking to integrate non-self-service platforms.
Onboarding Process
Getting started is simple and takes just a few minutes on your end.
Install the Toast or Square integration
For Toast, install the Hang tile via the Toast Partner Marketplace and select the locations that you want copilot to ingest
Hang will begin syncing your data automatically
This typically takes 12–36 hours
You’ll receive a signup email with a unique login link from noreply@copilot.hang.com
Click the link, set your password, and you’re in
No additional configuration or setup needed
Once inside, you’ll be able to ask copilot questions, explore trends, and build dashboards immediately.
What Data Is Pulled
Once connected, copilot automatically ingests:
Transaction data: Every completed order, including item-level details, discounts, and local timestamps
Menu data: Your current menu items, prices, modifiers, and categories
Customer data: We match customers based on available payment or loyalty identifiers to create a picture of their visit history, and behavioral patterns
This data fuels all the insights you see in copilot—from top-selling items to customer retention trends.
Backfill & Sync Behavior
After you connect to our tile, we start to ingest all future transaction data for free. Additionally, we provide automatic historical data backfill for up to 1 month from the installation date, free of charge. This allows you to see recent trends right away.
If you’d like access to additional historical data beyond 30 days, we can enable a deeper backfill at an additional cost depending on volume.
After installation, copilot will:
Continuously ingest new transactions, menu updates, and customer activity as they occur
Maintain daily syncs to keep your insights up to date
